7. What do the terms "greenhouse effect" and "acid rain" mean? How are they related to energy production?
-Greenhouse effect: Some of the gases in the Earth's atmosphere help to retain heat from the planet's surface. Earth's average temperature stays at about 15ºC. Without these gases, the average temperature would be about -18ºC.
-Acid rain: Demages our forests, lakes and rivers.
